Adhesives can be of different types and their selection for a particular purpose depends on the requirements of the application and the environmental conditions of the place or location, where it is to be used. Pressure sensitive adhesives can be water based, silicone based or rubber based.
While all three types of adhesives have their benefits, the solvent acrylic adhesives are considered the most durable. They offer the best performance and features like better chemical, heat and water resistance as compared to other categories of adhesives. These adhesives have crosslinking mechanisms which is the main reason behind the resistance to most solvents and chemicals.
If you are looking for the best acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive you can consider factors mentioned above. We researched the market and have compiled a list of the best acrylic pressure sensitive adhesives. These adhesives have been reviewed on the basis of their type, quality, resistance to water, heat and chemicals, price and the purpose for which they are most suited.

I don’t know why some people are having problems with this tape. Modern Marvals did a skit on this tape, those guys know thier stuff. This VHB tape is super sticky after the cure time. I must admit, I was scepticle at first because the tape is not very sticky at first. I bought it to attach a battery powered LED light to my bathroom ceiling above the bath tub. The ceiling is tile that normal double sided tape would not stick to. After a few days I decided the light needed to be moved over a few inches. The light housing broke when I tryed to move it, which was made of fairly thick plastic. The tape would not let go of the broken piece which was still stuck to the tile. I had to put some wieght into it to get it off the ceiling. I Reinstalled another light with no failure. I have since used this tape for mounting other things without fail. Tip: I found you must prepare the surfaces that are being attached by using some rubbing alcohol, and let dry. Wipe clean any residue left behind and apply the tape, you have 3 days to remove the tape before it is stuck for good.

I use my ATG almost daily. I love it. I hate when I’m helping with projects at someone else’s place and I have to use the cheap tape runners they picked up at Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. There is no comparison. And the refills here are cheaper than what I pay in the stores with coupons. Plus they’re Prime eligible. Yay! Saves me more money in the long run, because let’s be honest. If I’m going to the craft store for ATG refills, you know more stuff will jump into my basket. Anyway – don’t waste your time and money on the cheap runners – get this!! You won’t be sorry.

This is good tape. It is easy to manage and adheres quickly and strongly. It has a lot of tensile strength and is a good thickness for its intended applications. This can obviously be used for duct work as indicated, but there are other uses as well. Because it is conductive, it can be used in a homemade circuit and actually function as a component of that circuit if you are creative enough. Basically, it is just what it says it is, and if you have a use for aluminum tape, I do not think you will be disappointed with this particular one.I have not had this product for very long so I am not able to speak to the durability of it in terms of longevity. It does seem to be durable enough to withstand normal use. However, if I have any problems with that in the future, I will be sure to post an update to this review with any relevant photographs. This is a really good product and I would recommend it. If you considered this review helpful, please mark it as such below so that other people will be able to find it more easily.I did receive it a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review, but that in no way sways my review. If a product is bad, then I will tell you; and if my opinion changes with more use I will edit my review. I know how much I depend on these reviews when I am purchasing products for myself, and I work hard to give accurate and helpful advice anytime I review a product. I say all that because I have to in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission 16 CFR Part 255: Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsement and Testimonials in Advertising, not because it sways my review in any way.I hope you enjoy this product should you decide to get it. Thanks for reading and happy shopping!

Very good quality. Thick, soft, and stays put. Makes a smooth surface for card playing and reduces noise. Nice to pad under lamps and vases to protect surfaces from scratching. Be careful when applying. This product sticks securely the first time. I’m looking for more and more uses and will buy more of these. This product was easy to find through Amazon.com.

I use it to stick LED strips onto wood. The adhesive that come with most LED strips won’t stick well to most surfaces. It’s pretty expensive for tape, but it’s the strongest tape I every used. It’s strength is comparable using a nail to attach something. So far, it stuck to everything I tried except rubber.

Seriously, this is a 5-STAR product! I am thoroughly impressed…Had the opportunity during a room add-on project on my house to use both top-rated flashing products, the DuPont Tyvek flashing and the 3M All Weather Flashing. Both are excellent products that do what they are supposed to do; stick well, seal, and keep water out, but the 3M All Weather excels above in all areas.1. It is a membrane with super-sticky adhesive, so it stretches some and sticks permanently once applied. You will rip the Tyvek wrap off before this tape comes off. The DuPont tape was also sticky, but not as sticky. Had to use the roller on it to really set it, but still not like the 3M tape. And the DuPont Tyvek tape tended to buckle and bulge rather than stretch or curve.2. 3M tape is thinner but still very strong. It doesn’t build up the thickness after many layers like the thicker asphalt-type DuPont tape does.3. 3M tape comes with a split backing, which I found useful for window and door work. It is trickier to peel off as one backing sheet on straight runs, but once you get the hang of it, it is not a burden.I hope this review helps someone else make the right choice…

The adhesive on this tape is amazing, much stronger than standard duct tape. It worked perfectly for what I was using it for (radiant barrier over closed cell neoprene wrapped MVAC lines – The adhesive has held up to under hood temperatures in the Texas summer). I used scissors for a clean cut and the paper backing is pretty easy to remove. I have lots left over to now seal the leaky air handler in the attic.

Works excellent for adding rubber grips or hard plastic guides to a shower door bottom. What we used it for. Place the strip on first. We placed it on the glass edge of bottom of shower door. Press hard. Remove the paper backing. When placing the guide onto the adhesive strip carefully tilt it to one side( front or back) and slide on tilted at first. Then slip it on over in place. Make certain it is all the way in place whatever you are sticking together. Double check. Works best. This stuff is very sticky and gooey. But has a suction like quality once in place. Works awesome.

This tape is exceptional and well worth the MODERATE costs. I will give a fair and ACCURATE review of this tape and proper application. So…I needed some tape for my NEW PIAGGIO X9 Evolution 500cc Motorcycle and it is silver in color. My last scooter was black and I used 3M black reflective tape. Though I love 3M, it blended in nicely in the daytime with black color, COUPLED, with the fact that you can make it CURVE with the body or any object, that is where it ends. This REF-DB tape, IN ANY COLOR is by far better, shines as if you have a bright headlight, highly advanced, looks better and the entire gambit.PROS:1. Highly advanced in technology. The composition of the tape is excellent!2. STRONG – This tape will NOT rip or stretch on application. A review stated it will stretch – NOT!! That is a lie!3. GOOD LOOKING…looks modern and great!4. EXTREMELY BRIGHT!!! DAY BRIGHT!!! DAY LIGHT!! This tape is so bright and so WHITE there is no way you can’t be seen.5. ADHERES EXCELLENT. Anyone who states it does not adhere well is a LIAR! This tape adheres very well AS LONG AS you do the proper steps as in any other tape. The surface must be clean, free of dirt/debris, oils, dust, and your hands as well! Use an alcohol wipe and when applying, remove a little tape on one end, then apply SLOWLY removing the rest of the backing! It will stick very well!6. EASILY MEASURED. It has lines and angles so it is EASY to measure to adjacent pieces or cut into shapes.7. VISIBILITY. With the 3M reflective tape, you must be about 10-20 feet away before the reflective properties apply. With this tape, it shows DAY BRIGHT at ANY DISTANCE!!!CONS:It will NOT curve or stretch!! So if you have a curve you will need to either 1. Cut the tape in the shape of the curve PRIOR to application, or 2. Cut Relief cuts so it will curve to what you want! Of course, if the curve is like a tube around your bicycle frame that will work!OVERALL:This is a beautiful tape and highly reflective. I ride my motorcycle at night and vehicles stay FAR behind me because they love seeing how I placed the tape around the body of my motorcycle so it looks like the movie “TRON,” along with placing it on other lines of my vehicle! THIS IS A MUST BUY!!! Don’t believe any negative reviews! They didn’t take the time to apply it properly with prepping!I bought the 1″ inch tape and cut it into 1/2″ inch to trim by entire vehicle to outline it! The lines and angles on the tape allowed me to cut it into LONG 1/2″ strips WITHOUT having to measure and mark with a ruler! The tape NEVER stated anything about adding it to CLOTHING so that review is ridiculous and it is not falsely advertised by the seller. The tape like any other tape will leave a residue like one reviewer stated, ONLY IF, you keep pulling it on and off LIKE ANY OTHER TAPE WILL! Otherwise NO RESIDUE! That is a lie!! Use some goo gone and you will be fine, but that is NOT the problem of the tape, it is the dumb user pulling it on and off because they didn’t plan/prepare before applying.BUY TODAY!!Dr. Ricks
