Absolutely Fantastic – way better than the rentals from that other brand, and identical to the Bissell rental machines. I have waited a while to review this because since it was a high dollar item I wanted to thoroughly test and use it and see how it held up. With that said – this thing is a carpet cleaning brute! It has paid for itself many times over. Full size – just like the one you rent. Folds down easily to transport in an SUV. Light yet well built. Really heavy duty cord – which is an extension cord – So I have also used it for my vacuum and steam cleaner. Tanks empty easy. No assembly required.. Its ready to go out of the box. There is nothing about this not to love! I also bought the upholstery cleaning brush. I have used it at my home, my office, my moms home, even the rooms at a client’s motel! I have also used the upholstery tool to do couches, office furniture, my mom’s mattress (she is elderly and experienced some incontinence issues). The upholstery tool (NOT included but available separately) is also great for car and airplane headliners, carpets and seats. Recently we had flooding in the area and I even used it to suck up water before actually drying and then shampooing. I cant even express how handy it is to deal with messy mishaps, right then – without having to go rent. This thing has cleaned up everything from unwelcome pet “presents”, to elderly incontinence mishaps, to vomit in a Cessna, to Chinese food that shot off the seat when I had to brake hard. (were talking Egg Foo Yong with that thick brown sauce and a quart of egg drop soup!). It turned a nasty dusty couch that sat in storage into something I was able to sell instead of to pay to have taken away. I have yet to find anything that this wont clean, and clean well. The solution (also not included) is available everywhere, is reasonably priced, smells great and has both Scotchgard and Febreeze. Super easy to use. Easy to clean. Compact to store and transport, and a cleaning powerhouse that will do everything from shampoo your carpets to detail your car. You cant go wrong and you can own it for the same price as just a few rentals would cost.

- Cleans to remove soil and stains, as well as contains Scotchgard Protector to protect carpet from future stains
- 2X concentrate provides the same cleaning power using less packaging than non- concentrated formula
- Laboratory tested and safe to use in Bissell, Hoover?, Dirt Devil? and Rug Doctor? full size deep cleaning machines
- Formula contains biodegradable detergents and contains no phosphates, dyes, optical brighteners or heavy metals
I have a Rug Doctor type machine for cleaning my carpets–that machine definitely can use the Bissell 2X Deep Cleaner in the chamber. But first, to test it out, before I fired up the ol’ Doc, I scrubbed out some coffee stain on a light ivory carpet. I had spilled the remnants of a cup of dark roast right next to my desk and even after using an oxygen cleaner that is designed for quick stain treatment, I was left with a dark brown streak on the carpet that was resistant to any more scrubbing. This cleaner and a scrubby sponge, took out the stain in minutes. Then I moved over to a cat stain (my cat is a feral rescue and he still insists on decorating ONE area of ONE carpet with his signature.) After I had enzyme treated the area, there still was a stain. The Bissell cleaner make quick work of the rest of the stain. To do this test, I took some hot water, diluted the cleaner 1:1 according to the directions, and scrubbed the stain. The cap of the bottle is cleverly designed to measure out about a quarter cup (4 oz) of cleaner, and you can then use the cap to measure the water to dilute. I wish I had one of those small portable cleaners to test out, but I don’t own on. (I think with this cat and my clumsy coffee drinking, I ought to buy one.) But I think this cleaner would make a good job in combination. Here is a “factoid” about carpet fiber that may help you hand-clean spots. Carpet fibers have an octagonal cross-section (meaning, if you pull up a fiber and look at a cut end under the microscope, there would be eight sides.) So when you clean, it helps to rub in each of the directions of the compass, N, S, E, W, NE, NW, SE, SW. That’s how I do it and that insures you get all sides of the fiber exposed to the shampoo and scrubbing. The best professional machines don’t just go back and forth to scrub, they orbit in all these directions. So when I hand scrub, I try to replicate this motion. The 2X concentrate works well in my Rug Doctor and the fragrance isn’t bad, though I have an issue with too much perfume. I wish it had less scent, my only complaint.According to the label, this is safe to use in Bissell, Hoover, Dirt Devil, and Rug Doctor full size cleaning machines, so it’s versatile, if you have a big machine and also like to remove stains with small handheld units or sponges. On the ecological side, this cleaner is said to be made of biodegradable detergents with no no phosphates, dyes, optical brighteners or heavy metals. Optical brighteners make things look white to begin with, but yellow over time and are really not helpful. I’m glad there are none in this carpet shampoo.Bottom line: I will be buying this as my standard carpet shampoo from now on.

This product was on Amazon’s special Christmas sale and due to the great reviews, I took a chance. I’m so glad I did.I’ll be honest with you. I don’t believe in magic, and had no expectations that this or ANY product would take out all the urine stains on my carpet. Two of my adult daughters have lived here on and off with their Chihuahuas–smart little dogs but lazy when it comes to going out. (Granted, if I was only a few pounds I wouldn’t want to go out in freezing cold weather either!) I was, however, crossing my fingers that Bubba’s would do *something* about the smell. I’m embarrassed when we have guests because I know there’s a lingering scent no matter how hard/many times I clean.Bubba’s far surpassed my expectations. Yes, there are still stains in the rug, although the product removed more than I anticipated and made even old stains less noticeable. But the odor? It’s GONE. I’m in shock! I can actually walk into my house and not screw up my nose. Now it is true that the scent of the shampoo is rather intense. Not in a bad way, exactly, but it is strong. However, it does not STAY that strong. Once it dries that scent barely lingers. And it is SO worth it to have a strong soapy scent for a few hours to get a urine-free home.PROS:-The product works on odors! It removes even old, set in urine odor.-It is super easy to use in your shampoo machine.-Even though it’s a little more expensive, you don’t have to use as much to get results.-The company e-mailed me just to see if they could help me with something. They are a family-run company and customer service means a lot to them.CONS:-The shampoo is strongly scented. It may be a bit much for those super-sensitive to smell. However, given that or the smell of urine, I’d take the shampoo scent any time, especially because it WORKS and the shampoo scent doesn’t linger long.I intend to try their enzyme cleaner for future stains because I am now confident in their company. All in all I would highly recommend this product. I would also LOVE it if Bubba’s would consider putting this product out in a gallon size. I used up my whole bottle in one (admittedly very dirty) carpet cleaning.

So declares my Dad about this Bissell carpet cleaner. It is so rare for an appliance to be beautifully designed and work perfectly that I hardly know what to think about the results I got with this machine. My home is the ultimate test for a carpet cleaner: A lot people live here, the weather is rainy, conditions extremely muddy, and nature comes up right to our door. Before using this machine, we’ve had our carpets cleaned twice at this location and innumerable times before that and at other residences, all with uninspiring success. Commercial carpet cleaners can take days to thoroughly dry out, leave strong chemical smells behind them (or the pungent odor of wet animal hair), are cumbersome and noisy, and clean up is a chore. How did the Bissel stack up?SET UPA breeze. The instructions are clear and the machine itself so well designed I feel confident anyone could figure this out. The cleaning solution is supplied and for our mid-sized apartment we used approximately half the bottle. The machine is light (comparatively), easy to push around (actually kind of fun), and put together in an almost lego-like fashion, using compartments that lock and unlock with gratifying simplicity.THE CLEANING.Fantastic. We got out more dirt from our carpets than both previous cleanings combined. Extremely old gasoline stains came out, food stains, weird black marks I have no idea where from, you name it. The carpets have honestly never looked so terrific, not even when we moved in. The texture of carpet is now light and fluffy, to the point where everyone keeps petting it (embarrassingly). My brother has high-functioning autism and is very sensitive to chemical smells, and initially refused to have his roomed cleaned. When he saw the rest of the house he changed his mind, and the very minimal fumes did not bother him in the least.THE AFTERMATHDrying is remarkably quick, for us carpets and couch (more on that in a minute) were dry within roughly two hours. This compared to 12 hours in the past with commercial cleaners. Clean up took 45 seconds, and we hung up the detachable parts of the cleaner to dry out in the bathtub (the bottom of the detachable water compartment easily stays wet so make sure to dry it off by hand). And our carpets looked several shades beiger.THE WANDWe used the wand to clean our couch. Only certain kinds of upholstery can be cleaned with this machine, but unfortunately we could not find the tags on our ancient couch to check if the material was compatible. So we tried it anyway. The wand perfectly cleaned the thin fabric of the couch, pulling out an astounding amount of dirt but still drying out within an hour or so. Food stains on the couch disappeared but the wand did not tear the delicate, very old fabric. The spray is controlled but you will need to isolate the piece of furniture to make sure cleaning solution does not get all over your wooden endtables. My Dad also used the wand to go over the edges of the door way area, pulling out more dirt from the blackest area of our home. The difference was amazing.CONCLUSIONThis machine is expensive but so very very worth it if you have the room and are going to use it more than once a year. If I could say anything negative I would; overwhelming positive reviews always make me suspicious, personally. But there isn’t anything bad to say. This review does not encompass wear and tear on the machine; we’ve only used it a few times in the last few months. Possibly it will perform differently 5 or 10 years from now. But at this time, I could not recommend the Bissell more. If you are tired of buying things that don’t work and that have apparently been designed by aliens from planet Incompetent then the Bissel carpet cleaner will be a pleasant surprise. Highly recommened and rated:GRADE: AUPDATE 6-10-16: Some of you have asked about durability; this thing is still going strong after 5 1/2 years. The only thing that ever went wrong in all that time was when some algae grew in one of the tubes. That was not the fault of the BGD Cleaner–we lived for a time in a VERY wet, cold climate in the middle of a forest. Algae grew on everything there, including my car.In the years since the initial review we tested out six other models from Bissell and also Hoover, and this original one remains by far the best. Plus, the price has come down over a hundred dollars (yay!). This machine came with us across two states and we used it in three different homes with very different carpets (not to mention all the different cars we cleaned).Still five stars after all these years, and still rating an “A” grade. Happy shampooing everyone!

Purchased to use on a carpet restoration project. Used with the Oreck orbiter. I love the Oreck and the before and after in our carpet is a night and day difference. I sprayed this on the carpet and used it as my first step. And I could see the carpet color changing or dirt lifting while I ran the orbiter over it, before I ever put the carpet cleaner down.

Having used Very Dirty Carpets Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Solution Spot & Stain Remover I knew their concentrated professional strength carpet cleaner & deodorant would be top notch. Peter MacDonald, the founder and managing director of Very Dirty Carpets has spent his career on shampoos and stain removers. Prior to using the product, I downloaded and picked up tips received in an email from Sweet Dreams Marketing containing a Free Stain Removal Guide (Top 10 Stains). I’ve used the solution in my Bissell shampooer to clean my living room carpet and several small throw carpets. It works great on both wine and chocolate stains and gives the carpet a citrus lavender fragrance. The product arrived as scheduled. The bottle contains 32 ounces of concentrated professional strength cleaning solution. The concentrate can be used in any upright shampooing machine like Bissell or Hoover. Instructions state to mix 1oz of the solution with 1 Gallon of Water or as directed by the manufacturer.I appreciate that the seller, Sweet Dreams Marketing, contacted me with useful information prior to using the product. I recommend Sweet Dreams Marketing Carpet Cleaning Solution as a beneficial, cost friendly, and effective carpet cleanser. If you found this review to be helpful, please click the yes button below.

I year ago I hired a popular floor cleaning company to professionally clean the tile and grout on my kitchen floor. They did a fantastic job – but it cost $240! They used a round floor scrubber. I set out to find a round floor scrubber to purchase, and found this one. I purchased the all-purpose cleaning kit that comes with all the brushes, the terry bonnet, and thevtile/carpet/wood cleaners. I have carpet, floor tile, and hardwood in my house. I used the machine on the carpet and tile, but not the hardwood yet. This machine is amazing and delivers versatile floor cleaning. All you will ever need is this machine and a vacuum cleaner. I will be giving away my steam mop and steam carpet cleaner. They cannot compete with the Oreck at all!The Orbiter uses a dry shampoo technique for carpet cleaning. The scrubbing power is awesome. The stains and darkened traffic areas on my white berber carpet came right up! My husband commented that it looked better than after the professional steam cleaning we had done. In 30 minutes, you vacuum up the dry powder and you’re done. Kids and pets can walk around while the powder works – it is safe. Why steam clean carpets anymore, waiting for the rug to dry overnight?I cleaned all of the tile floors – 3 bathrooms and the kitchen floor. The Kitchen floor looked the same as after the professional tile and grout cleaning I had done last year. The white grout lines in the bathrooms reappeared with only 1 application! See my before and after photos in the product photo gallery. The Orbiter is not light to carry around. But once you turn it on, it practically skates on top of the floor being cleaned and is very easy to maneuver and balanced. It takes a little more strength to maneuver on carpet for obvious reasons. The brushes that come in the kit sold separately are very easy to put on and remove and are very solidly built.I highly recommend this floor machine and look forward to years of good use. With just one pass on my carpet and tile floors, I have recouped the money I would have spent on professional cleaning.

Tried this instead of my usual carpet shampoo and found the carpets to be notably cleaner and brighter looking. Good price too, and it does not foam like the old cleaner did.My carpet cleaning regimen is this:1) Thoroughly rake carpet using a Grandi-Groom carpet rake (about $26 in Amazon), vacuum well.2) Zep mixed 5 oz per gallon of hot water, apply liberally using a 2 gallon pump up deck stain/weed sprayer. I use about .75 gallon per 100 SF of carpet. Rake Zep solution in throughly to agitate/activate it. Let it dwell for around 15 minutes.3) Using a Mytee Lite II heated extractor machine with wand and straight water, rinse/extract carpet. The result is my home’s 20 year old carpet never looked better. The areas that are not high traffic actually look brand new.If you have a lot of carpet, go big man! Ya, the Mytee is money, you can rent them for around $50 a day though. Bought mine, what can I say? My dog and teenage kids suck and you know what happens. That extractor has paid for itself 5x over, easy, plus my friends are constantly giving me free beer all the time as they want to borrow it 😉 Highly recommend the Grandi Groom rake, Zep and that Mytee Lite II machine, also available on Amazon, plus a wand of course. Having good equipment will save you and maybe even make you some money.

Okay, I think this one is my favorite attachment to my Oreck. I have dark laminate flooring. It shows EVERYTHING. So I bought the white cleaning pads but no matter what cleaner I use, I can see a white film. Now I follow up with this and it gets up the white film. I follow up with the lambswool for a nice shine.Note that this one is reversible so you can turn it over for twice the use
Commercially used carpets are undoubtedly dirtier and muddier than the ones used at home for the simple reason that the footfall of people in case of the former is definitely higher. Nevertheless there are products that help you get rid of the stubborn stains and spots and make your carpet look anew.
Professionals use high quality supplies to get rid of the stains, spots and dirt from commercially used carpets. Hopefully you found our review of the best commercial carpet cleaning supplies useful and were able to select some good options.
