The simplest of the machine parts but the most useful, ball bearings are used in many devices, appliances, equipment and other machines. They are mostly used for rolling elements like the rotating parts of axial devices, computer hard drives, skateboard wheels and other similar products.
Ball bearings may be made in any three materials namely stainless steel, chrome and ceramic. The choice of the material of the ball bearing plays an important role in the performance of the ball bearings. Therefore, it is important that you choose the material correctly.
Stainless steel ball bearings are the most popular and the trusted bearings used for most products. They come in a variety of designs and sizes. The steel bearings can handle high loads and fast RPMs and therefore, are well suited for most operations.
We have here a list of the best stainless steel ball bearings prepared after researching the market. These ball bearings have been reviewed for their size and weight, load capacity, bearing life, hardness, chemical resistance and price. A perusal through the list will help you find the best ball bearings that you require for your particular project.

I recently started working out and drinking protein shakes. I had a hard time breaking up all the protein so I bought a blender ball. Only to find out that protein would sometimes get stuck inside the ball. So I bought a set of these and put one in the blender ball itself and one on the outside.TLDR: They are stainless steel balls.

I work on pumps for a living. This ball was purchased to use on a shaft seal sleeve to drive the mechanical seal. The pump manufacturer wanted $38.00 for one steel ball. I purchased 25 stainless steel balls for a fraction of that cost. A more premium material for the application, 25 times as many, and 25 of them for way less money. The fit was perfect. The surface looked perfect. I’m sure it would work great as a ball bearing as it was designed to be

Beautiful little stainless steel balls. I love them just for what they are, and they are useful to clean out the bottoms and corners in that vase you’d like to use again but it looks too groady. (And cheaper than buying the stainless steel cleaning balls, because they buy these and mark them up 1000% so they can include a cheap little bag.)

Everyone has their little quirks and mine is idle hands. I like to keep them busy but those mediation balls just never appealed to me. I deal with a lot stainless, building exterior displays and for the longest time I had the sharp end of a fishermans hand gaff/hook that i cut off so no one would hurt themselves. Polishing the edges, I would keep it in my pocket and toss it around while my hands were idle, loving the feel of it, like a worry stone. Never the less, it was bluntly sharp and would poke me once in awhile, so after doing some thinking, I though maybe a stainless ball bearing would do the trick and it did. Love these, I usually keep one it my pocket and fool around with it all the time. A great stress reducer and you don’t have to be afraid of damaging it beyond minors scratches and no tarnish or rust.

I got these to keep my new decanter clean, but I figured I’d put them to a real test and try cleaning my Chemex coffee maker with them. I’m always in a hurry in the morning and don’t have time to brush the thing out after every pot, so it gets a bit, uh, groady in there after a while…When it gets pretty bad, I have to spend about a half hour with a new scotch pad and a wooden brush handle to push it down in there, scrubbing the you-know-what out of it. It’s not fun.My Chemex was looking pretty bad today – it’s been a good six months since I did anything more than just rinse it out – so I poured these beads in there with some really hot water and a bit of dish soap, expecting nothing. After about 15 seconds of swishing, I held the pot up to the light and I couldn’t believe my eyes! Holy Smokes! The dark residue was totally gone! I swished a bit more to get them farther up the side of the pot and poured them out into a strainer. Beautiful! These saved me so much work. These were worth every penny for that one cleaning alone! I highly recommend them.

Ordered these balls to replace components (springs, balls & set screw) in our RV cabinet latches. Over time an vibration the set screw backs out allowing the spring & ball to be lost (some where under the cabinets and can’t find) the replacement latch is expensive. Just adding the replace components and this time applying a drop of finger nail polish on the threaded section of the set screw, will hopefully prevent this from happen again.

I purchased these for a rotating display. I lost the bearings that were inside of it due to it tipping over and they rolled away. I figure If I bought a pack of 50 I should be okay for a while. These have functioned fine for what I need them for, which really isn’t much.

I checked out one of these with an ammonia bath to check for rusting since I like to heat shrink with boiling water for my monkey’s fist. These showed no sign of any discoloring after a week in the ammonia bath, so I will be buying more.

When compared with the other materials of ball bearings, stainless steel bearings are more popular as they have the ability to handle exceptionally high loads. However, their use is limited to machines and gadgets that require high RPMs as ceramic and chrome are used for specific projects like aircraft instruments and medical hand pieces.
